Welcome to Plank Skateboards^™, a small owner operated company based in Sonoma County, California, USA, whose roots go back to designing and hand shaping hardwood decks in the mid 70’s. These are not the usual plywood or butcher block boards being made by others. Every PLANK is a unique 3-layered hardwood deck assembled with different patterns and woods, all in their beautiful natural colors, using the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship. The 3-layers are pressed together resulting in a modest rocker. The Plank logo is heat branded into each board. All boards are designed and hand shaped in small batches by the owner and artist David Troxel. Boards are individually priced based on the woods used and the number of laminations.  Current deck sizes include 48”, 36” and 24” in various styles.

October 9th 2011-Annual Purple Skunk Skate Jam in the Park.

Great time had by all. Plank and Sk8Kings joined Lizzie and her crew for another great day of skating, slalom, free style, hot dogs, T-shirt Gun, and the FAMOUS raffle of great swag. Hope to see everyone again next year!

October 12th 2008- Annual Skate Jam in the Park with Purple Skunk and Sk8Kings!

Another great success with over 150 skaters showing up on a sunny Sunday in SF Golden Gate Park.

Over 150 people showed up to just have fun skating.  The Sk8kings Freestyle demo team showed off their skills, Slalom and downhill was tried by many. Dave shot out Tshirt bombs with the infamous T-shirt Gun and Lizzie and Purple Skunk crew hosted a great day  and Raffle at the shop. Plank announces the release of their new 48” Plank Super Flex. A 48” Pin Tail with slight camber, 3/8th inch thick with bamboo core for added flex and less weight. This is Plank’s most high performance deck with an incredible ride that carves corners like you wouldn’t believe. Each one is an individual work of art, just like our other planks. You’ve ridden the rest, now it’s time for the best. Time to Walk The Plank!
